How to make the other toothbrushes jealous.
Sometimes it's the big things. Sometimes, however, it's as small as changing your toothbrush.
In Australia, over 30 million toothbrushes are used and disposed of every year! Amounting to approximately 1000 tonnes of landfill....Right?! and not the mention the plastic they’re made of won’t break down in our lifetime. Nor within the lifetime of our children. That on a global scale is mind boggling.
The change however starts with you! So, here is our FINTASTIC tip for the week. Say goodbye to the boring old plastic toothbrush and get say hello to one of these bad boys!
As an avid toothbrush lover, and someone who spends way too long in the toothbrush aisle staring, lovingly, at all the beautiful potential scrubbing buddies, these beasts fill my heart with a ridiculous amount of love and contentment.
Here is a bit about them;
- Made from biodegradable bamboo
- Charcoal enhanced bristles
- Round handle
- Choice of a Shark, Whale, Turtle or Sea Horse icon.
What is not to love!? Not only are they totally gilliant for the planet, they won't burn a hole in your pocket and you'll 100% up your street cred.
Like I mentioned before, I am a bit of a toothbrush enthusiast. First of all, the toothbrush arrived in an adorable little cardboard box (find joy in the little things), insanely hyped to try it out, I headed up to the bathroom to brush my teeth for the second time that morning, granted switching to using a wooden brush takes a little getting used to, but honestly once you've gone bamboo you won't go back. The round handle makes them super comfortable to hold and the charcoal bristles leave you feeling deliciously squeaky clean without thinking you've murdered your gums.
Where to get your teeth whitening friend
I purchased my Bamboo toothbrush (complete with Shark icon...obviously) from Flora and Fauna. They are based in Galston NSW and are super passionate about living ethically and offer an incredible range of earth friendly products. Please check them out!
What makes this change even better is 0.50c from every toothbrush is donated to Sea Shepherd.
So heres to making all the other toothbrushes in the bathroom jealous!
