Frequently Asked Questions

Science and Sustainability education program

How many students are there per class?

We have a maximum of 10 students per class.

Can my child do one on one classes due to special learning requirements?

Absolutely! We pride ourselves on being inclusive. We will work with you in developing a custom program to meet the needs of your child. Additional fees will apply to custom designed programs.

Do I have to complete module one before doing module two?

You don’t need to have done Module one to do Module two. For a complete learning experience we do recommend doing Module One followed by Module two. They are designed to flow on from one another.

Do I have to accompany my child for the duration of the course?

Yes. We ask parents/guardians to stay within the building while workshops are taking place. Parents are encouraged to join in on the experience and activities. At the back of the class room there are some comfy sheets for relaxing with a cup of tea, reading a book or catching up with the other parents.

What do I do if I miss one of the classes or I can’t attend?

If your child is sick and cannot attend please advise us as soon as possible. We will do our best to fit your child into the next available workshop for that topic. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. Please see cancellation policy.

What should my child wear?

As part of our safe work practices we do ask for all attendees to wear enclosed shoes, and comfortable clothing ideal for craft activities. We will provide students with lab coats for art/craft activities and provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for any science activity. If you child has any allergies that may affect their participation in the program please notify us immediately.

Do they need to bring anything?

We recommend students bring a reusable water bottle for water throughout the class. While workshops are running we do have a zero food policy, simply for the protection of other children whom may have food allergies. elasmo will provide all learning resources and materials.
